Nighttime Ramble Mongolian steppe

What's going on at the zoo in the evening after closing time? Find out at the Nighttime Ramble, get to know the Zoo from a different side and engage in a unique experience. On the program are: excursion through the Masoala Rainforest and nocturnal stroll through the zoo, encounters with reptiles, outdoor dinner, overnight stay in the yurt, breakfast in the Pantanal restaurant, morning walk in the upper part of the zoo.
The overnight stay in the yurt is a multi-person accommodation of max. 10 persons.
Duration: 6:30 pm to 10:00 am.
Dinner: African chicken with rice (meat) or Masoala curry with rice (vegetarian/vegan).
For adults
For persons 18 years and older.
Cost per person: CHF 159.–
For closed groups: Minimum package CHF 2300.–, dates on request.
For families
Specially designed for families with children (6–16 years).
Cost per person: adults CHF 139.–, children CHF 119.–, maximum two accompanying adults per child.
For closed family groups: Minimum package CHF 2300.–, dates on request.
For school classes
Start at 6:30 pm, move into night camp at about 10:30 pm, night rest at 11 pm. End of the event at about 10 am the next morning; you can also spend the rest of the day at the zoo. The price includes zoo admission for the following day, an evening snack at approx. 21:00, overnight stay and breakfast.
Dinner: African chicken with rice (meat) or Masoala curry with rice (vegetarian/vegan).
The overnight stay will be in yurts. You will need: sleeping bag, pyjamas and washing utensils. Folding mattress (approx. 10 cm) will be provided by Zurich Zoo. Attention: The yurts are not heated.
The language of the night walk is German. In French, English and Italian the night walk is available on request for school classes and private groups. The program is subject to change.
