Penguin Parade

The Penguin Parade is on its seasonal break. The next season will start in mid-November 2026.

In winter, we invite our king penguins to take a short trip through the zoo every day at 1.30 p.m., provided the temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius. We announce whether it is cold enough for the walk to take place in the event calendar every day from 9 a.m. (marked as «takes place»).

Please note: The walk is voluntary for the penguins. Even if it is cold enough, the animals may not want to leave the exhibit and the penguin parade may not take place.

To ensure that everyone involved enjoys the Penguin Parade, we ask you to observe the following rules.

Rules of behaviour:

• Do not touch the penguins.
• Keep your distance – even while taking photos or filming.
• Do not walk alongside the penguins.
• Generally move slowly, do not run around.
• Keep an eye on children and hold small children in your arms.
• Follow the instructions of the zookeepers and volunteers.
• And in general: the penguins always have the right of way.
