    Three questions for Purity

Your motivation for the Lewa project?

My strong believe that educated and empowered communities are essential friends of the ecosystem. They are what Lewa, and the world, need to safeguard our fragile ecosystems for future generations.

An unforgettable moment in your project?

Many. The most recent highlight for me are animations that 10-year-olds created independently to express their appreciation for conservation efforts and to educate society about the importance of environmental conservation. This is special to me me because it shows that our work is empowering children to be problem solvers.

What is your biggest wish for your project?

I wish to see the successful approach of my project reach more beneficiaries across Kenya and beyond. I wish to one day influence education policy in the country so that the government incorporates successful learnings into the mainstream curriculum and underscores the value of education for sustainable conservation.
