What do animals do at night when all the people have left the zoo? Find out on a night expedition and get to know another side to the zoo. The program includes: Night trip through the Masoala rainforest, encounters with reptiles, visit to the feed preparation area, morning walkabout through the zoo and a competition with records from the animal kingdom.

Event starts at 7 pm, yurts open from approx. 10.30 pm, curfew at 11 pm. The event ends around 10 am the following morning, and you’re welcome to spend the rest of the day in the zoo. The price includes entry to the zoo for the day following the night expedition, a light dinner, the overnight stay and breakfast.
You will be accommodated in dormitory-style yurts overnight. You will need: sleeping bag, tracksuit and toiletries. Thin sleeping mats (1 cm) will be provided by Zoo Zurich. Warning: the yurts are unheated.
The night expedition will be conducted in Swiss German. French, English and Italian night expeditions can be conducted on request for schools and private groups. Program subject to change.
