What do the animals do when evening comes and all the people have left the zoo?

Come along on a night excursion through the Masoala Rainforest, get to know our reptiles close up and enjoy the private atmosphere of an evening in the zoo after closing time. Later in the evening – after a light dinner – a well deserved rest awaits you either in the yurts (in the middle of the zoo, between the elephants and the lions) or in the nature workshop (depending on the weather conditions).

The following morning, after a revitalising breakfast, you will be diving into new adventures. The programme includes: a look at the backstage of Zurich Zoo, a visit to the kitchens, a morning tour with a quiz to help you recognize the animals’ voices, and, in the Animal Olympic Games, a fun competition with the representatives of the animal kingdom, holders of world-records.

This programme is not only an attraction for school classes, but it is also a special way to spend a holiday with your family: during school holidays we offer programmes, with overnight stays, especially designed for families. This unique entertainment will be an unforgettable experience for the whole family and for children of the age from 6 till 16 years.

Price

The participation cost for school classes is CHF 75.– for children (grade 4 to 6 / age 10 – 12 years) and CHF 35.– for teachers.

The participation cost for private family events is CHF 85.– for children (6 – 16 years) and CHF 105.– for adults.

The price includes: the entrance fee to the zoo, explanations given by experts, a light evening meal, the overnight accommodation and breakfast.

General conditions

Participants need to bring a sleeping bag, a track suit and the necessary toiletries. Small mattresses will be provided by Zurich Zoo. A detailed packing list will follow after the booking.
